TECHCROSS WATER & ENERGY and TECHCROSS ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, which were finally selected by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy for the 2022 'water electrolysis-based hydrogen production base construction' contest project along with Jeollabuk-do, Buan-gun, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, and SYF, signed an agreement on May 31, Tuesday, and began its full-scale entry into the business of constructing green hydrogen production bases.

The project, implemented to accelerate the government's transition into a clean hydrogen supply system in order to achieve a carbon-neutral society by 2050, aims to build a water electrolysis-based hydrogen production base with facilities for production, storage, and transportation capable of producing more than one ton of hydrogen per day. The Buan Renewable Energy Complex will house a green hydrogen production base equipped with water electrolysis and shipping facilities.

The project will lay the groundwork for developing an industrial ecosystem for the entire green hydrogen cycle, such as contributing to the improvement of the atmospheric environment and carbon neutrality by supplying inexpensive eco-friendly hydrogen to hydrogen refueling stations in the western Jeollabuk-do as well as the Buan region.

TECHCROSS WATER & ENERGY and TECHCROSS ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES has gained the spotlight in the market as companies with an optimized platform for hydrogen business based on environmental facility EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) and O&M (operation and management) capability and water electrolysis system technology.
